Final paper
For the final paper, you will write a statement of your teaching principles in which you discuss your beliefs, values, assumptions around language teaching and learning, and connect these to scholarly literature, your personal experiences, and observations. As part of the assignment, create a lesson plan that demonstrates how your teaching principles are enacted in your practice. You will be evaluated on your ability to articulate how the approaches, theories, and research findings discussed in this course, and your experiences in observing and teaching shape your development as a teacher. Your paper should be at least 2000 words excluding references and the lesson plan. The quality of your argumentation will be evaluated, in part, on the extent to which you reference literature including and beyond what is assigned in the course.
