Draft a memo to the i nvestor in your own words

The memo should be a maximum of three pages, including the two figures. Be very brief and to the point. It should be in the pdf format.
Upload the memo on blackboard. Do not email anything to me.
Your memo should read like an actual letter to an investor from an investment advisor and
not like an assignment submission. In other words, the answers should be part of the letter and in a natural order, not sequentially numbered 1,2,3, etc. You can assume any name of your choice for the investor to address him in the memo.
The investor is not a finance expert, which is why he is seeking your guidance. He understands mean and variance, but not covariance, diversification or portfolio theory. He does not know any of the terms “efficient frontier”, “optimal risky portfolio” or “Sharpe ratio”. You need to explain these phrases.
You are required to submit a spreadsheet, but only as an emergency backup in case I need to check how you calculated the optimal risky portfolios. I expect to grade you entirely on the basis of what you write in your pdf file.
