Parents’ involvement in schools is an act that gives all children’s guardians a full opportunity to take part in the welfare of their students in school. Parents take some roles as one of the main stakeholders to ensure that students are always on the right track. A child’s academic journey depends solely on several factors where parent involvement is one of the main determinant factors. The parent involvement in children’s education plays a vital role in promoting the behavior of a child. In most cases children trained the moral values from their parents while young remain moral throughout their academic journey. The collaboration of the main stakeholder in schools should ensure that students always do the right thing. It is the responsibility of a parent to teach their children the manners they need before sending them to school.

Poor upbringing of children results to bad character building. This concept results to misbehaviors at the late age of the child. Despite, all the conditions that build the children’s character, it is important to always talk to children. This idea will help them to identify their worth as they grow up to become responsible citizens. Through parent involvement, it is always hard for a student to remain absent while other children are at school (Bracke and Corts 2012). This process is the only way parents can assist the teacher to account for the responsibility of their children. In this paper, we will focus on parents’ various contributions to their children’s welfare in school.

According to various researches, it is essential to note that most students’ behaviors are because of the parent’s role in early childhood. This idea calls for parental involvement, which will play a crucial role in giving the children the best education. Therefore, it is vital to build the right character for the children while in the early stages of life(Thompson et al. 2017) Any child trained well in the early stages of life will always look smart in whatever he or she does in school. In other words, what one does is a photocopy of that he or she is in life. Students who misbehaved in a scaring and careless manner is because of the many qualities of a responsible person who had trained them while they were young. For children’s success, parents should always take the first responsibility of teaching these individuals before they bring them to the teachers. On the other side, it is essential to still link the community and families in the children’s affairs. By doing all these, students will be walking around, knowing that they are monitored. This ideal puts student’s alert on whatever they do outside or inside school.

The behavior of most children can also be dictated by fact that the child is brought by a single parent or both parents. In most cases, children brought up by single parents tend to develop misbehavior that is not favorable in society.  This idea can be supported by the fact that such children tend to acquire the character of the present parent.  As a result of developing one side’s surface, the child always knows wellhow to handle himself or herself in the current parent.  This fact affects the child because one is affected morally and mentally, and it becomes difficult to adjust in the presence of another gender. Children of this kind develop some misbehavior while in a school setting when being handled by the gender teacher who was not present during their upbringing. The children of the type learn well and obey those teachers of the same gender as a parent. On the other side, the children find it almost impossible to attend the other gender because they grew in an environment where the gender was absent (Huat and Gorard 2015). Therefore, the children do not identify the different gender roles because of the absence of the gender during his time as a young child.

Similarly, those children brought up with single parents are controlled less because if the one parent fails to contain the child early, they may develop an unfavorable character in society. Under normal circumstances, it is not easy for a single parent to bring up the child most desirably. Therefore it is always essential for both parents if alive to coordinate in bringing up their children most desirably. By doing what it takes to be a parent, the children still grow well with the characters admired by many people. As a result, this idea parents with children with unfavorable feelings become disturbed when they realize that their children have nothing to smile about later.

In contrast, those parents with good, obedient, and performing children always have something positive to say about their children. From the explanation, it is essential to note that parents play a crucial role in raising the children desirable. On the other side, it is necessary to note that it always necessary for both parents to participate in bringing up the children in the most favorable way. This idea will help the children to behave positively in life when they become grownups.

Collaboration between parents and the community is directly linked. When the link is strong, the role of parent’s involvement becomes strong when schools’ management realizes the worth of parents in their children. The idea of parent involvement will only be realized when the school system will put up practices and policies that will always involve parents as significant stakeholders in decision making. This concept calls for the school management’s flexibility to accommodate parents in all the affairs that directly affect children. Parents possess much of the information of children right from the villages they come from within the community (An and Hodge 2013). Allowing parents to participate in much of the decisions made that affect school child directs will be an achievement to children and the school. This idea calls for proper measures that guide an institution’s leadership in making decisions on the matters that directly affect children. Therefore, it will be essential to consider parents in various schools if the US’s country needs potential leaders in the coming days.

The following recommendations should be put in place to ensure that parent-school collaboration is strengthened. First, the school’s management needs to create positive communication among its stakeholders. Secondly, schools need to organize parent workshops to help parents learn the school system’s basics and their role as parents. This idea will help the parents, teachers, and workers’ functions to be identified easily. The workshops will also allow parents to better understand their children and educate them to become responsible future citizens. Lastly, it is essential to reduce barriers that might hinder parents from participating in the school and the community matters. Removing these barriers will help the parents to freely participate in the issues that will help raise their children to learn the most favorable characters in their life.

Parents play a vital role in the communities in the process of nurturing the young generation. This reason should always be a factor to consider when it comes to the performance of the children. Therefore the school leadership needs to realize the worth of parents and involve them in giving the children the best they can in their journey to get the right education (Núñez 2015). On the other side, it is essential to understand that some parents are always the causes of their children’s failure. This concept is still necessary to be noted among the school stakeholders. Therefore, some parents need to be pushed to give their children conducive environments if performance is expected. Some parents’ Laxity leads to loss of talents and other vital skills which helps children to grow holistically. The lack of interaction between children and their parents may result in some parents’ death that might result from a close parent-child relationship.  Children’s social capability, like public speaking, will not develop if parents fail to guide their children well in all perspectives. As a result, it is always crucial for children stakeholders to give the children the best they can both in school and home.

Finally, it is essential to note that parents’ involvement in school activities and programs may result in mental torture for students whose parents don’t participate in school matters. This idea lowers their morale, resulting in underperforming among those children whose parents are less concerned about their academics. Therefore, parents need to follow their children’s progress records both in schools and at home. This concept will help the community at large in upbringing responsible future men and women.

Conclusively, parental involvement helps in sharpening the students’ behaviors while in school and at home. The above are the many points that illustrate parents’ role in ensuring the students get the best to acquire the best educational skills that will help an individual grow well in a competitive society. Therefore, parent involvement is a roll call to all parents and any stakeholder who will always give the school children the best in life.
