Assignment Overview:
The Research Proposal Assignment is the major writing assignment in this course.Students should work on this paper throughout the semester. This mix-methods paper will incorporate both the quantitative research design and the qualitative research design. In this assignment, students are asked to produce a formal proposal of at least 5 pages. The requirements for this paper are addressed in this document.
Students are also required to present their work in the form of a powerpoint presentation. The 3 minutepresentation should have the same format asthe paper. Students are required to meet with me (one-on-one), on zoom, to present their work. The presentation dates are from November 18thto November 25th. Students will have to sign up for the power point presentation(zoom session) sometime during the semester.

The research paper is due on November 18th. The presentation dates are from November 18th to November 25th.
Grading:
The paper is worth 25% of the overall grade for this course. The presentation is worth 5%. The presentation should have the same format of the paper. Students will meet with me on-one-on to present their powerpoint presentation.
Paper Format:
With regards to the paper format, please adhere to the following:
- New Roman’s Times font
- 1” margins
- Double space
- A cover page
- A questionnaire
- Minimum of 4 pages which does not include the cover page, questionnaire,& reference page
- In-text citation and reference page cited in APA form
The paper must have a cover page that should include the following: the title of the project; the course name; my name; your name; and the date
Organize your proposal according to the sections noted below (please use the same headings in your paper). Please address all parts of each section completely. Completeness, persuasiveness, clarity, coherence and correctness of your written presentation will be considered in the grading, so please plan, draft, edit, and proofread before submitting your formal proposal for approval and grading.
The paper should include the following sections, a reference page, a questionnaire, and a coverpage.
