Ezy Vet Software

EzyVet was founded in 2006 out of the desire for an intuitive, affordable and customizable software that could cater to Veterinary Practices of all sizes and compositions. Plenty of other software options existed but none seemed to tick all the right boxes. The high cost of the available Veterinary Practice Management packages was yet another headache, which made it financially out of reach for a large portion of clinics. (vet, 2018)

Our initial business development vehicle included invaluable input from a Veterinary Specialist as a partner so the core clinical aspects of EzyVet have been developed by Vets for Vets. Our Tech Our Technology EzyVet was created using open source technologies. (vet, 2018) EzyVet uses a great composition of technology which is improving all the time as the Open Source world eco-system pushes forward. EzyVet uses bank level security and operates on the global hosting environment provided by Amazon in their AWS cloud. (vet, 2018) (Amazon, 2020)

AWS has significantly more services, and more features within those services, than any other cloud provider–from infrastructure technologies like compute, storage, and databases–to emerging technologies, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, data lakes and analytics, and Internet of Things. AWS also has the deepest functionality within those services. (Amazon, 2020)

Hadleigh continues to drive the success of EzyVet with a growth culture mindset, focusing on delivering an outstanding product and customer service. Hadleigh spends most of his time with customers learning where the opportunities lie to build a product set that changes clinical and financial outcomes for the EzyVet community. (vet, 2018)

Why is it beneficial to use a software program?

EzyVet is a feature-rich Veterinary Practice Management Software. The data you can collect in EzyVet can be extremely useful in helping you make important business decisions. (vet, 2018)

Overall: They have monthly meetings with them, and they even visit our hospital on occasion to make sure they’re addressing all of our pain points. All of their customer service is very friendly and helpful. Aside from the occasional extreme slowness,

Pros:  100% cloud-based, has several integrations that we use daily and is constantly updating the functionality and ease of use. The reminder system and now added telemedicine functionality really set it apart. I also like that we can text clients and if they text back it goes directly into the clinical record. Several recommendations that we have suggested, they have implemented. I can also get a human being on the phone It is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

Cons: Occasional slowness and the number of communications that can be sent cap out at about 1 per every 15 seconds. For a company of almost 300 people who send thousands of reminders per day, it can cause a significant delay. The inability to trend blood values is also disappointing. Our previous software allowed us to do it, but EzyVet can’t at this time. The reporting functionalist also leaves a lot to be desired, but they are working on improving that as well.  If a particular word is mentioned in a clinical record, there isn’t an easy way to find all of the records with that word unless you take the time to tag each record. (vet, 2018) (Advice, 2006-2020)

Pro

The training process and sessions that were scheduled prior to roll out were not particularly helpful. Once the program was actually rolled out and with the help of the team members from EzyVet, it was fairly easy and quick to learn. (R, 2020)

Cons

The frequency of the error occurring however detracts from the overall happiness with the software. To be honest, to fill this part of the review in required some significant time to think of something negative to say about it, and again this may be a statement more of the employees than it is a statement about the software. (R, 2020)

(R, 2020)Here are a couple of key reasons we have all integrations going through the API, rather than the database directly: Speed: interacting with the database directly can slow the system down. Security: the database is an attack vector for intruders (hence why many server-based systems have issues with Ransomware). (H, 2018) As far as 3rd-party integration partners, we need to be careful who has access to clinic data and also look out for the little guys. (R, 2020) Many clinics do not have the legal expertise to understand what some of these third-party companies are able to do with their data (i.e. sell it to other parties). Hence any 3rd-party integrations go through a rigorous vetting process. (H, 2018)

However, software companies began to perceive that there is another way to be followed: training clients focused on software. This training is as important as the one you offer to your collaborators. Training clients is a reality for anyone who wants to increase their productivity and scale their businesses. But how to do that? IS what we are going to show for you in this text, are we going to start?

 

Although your company has an excellent structure to develop the training of your client, it is useless if your need is met. In other words, more difficult than guaranteeing service delivery is offering the right resources.
