EzyVet was founded in 2006 out of the desire for an intuitive, affordable and customizable software that could cater to Veterinary Practices of all sizes and compositions. Plenty of other software options existed but none seemed to tick all the right boxes. The high cost of the available Veterinary Practice Management packages was yet another headache, which made it financially out of reach for a large portion of clinics. (vet, 2018)
Our initial business development vehicle included invaluable input from a Veterinary Specialist as a partner so the core clinical aspects of EzyVet have been developed by Vets for Vets. Pros: 100% cloud-based, has several integrations that we use daily and is constantly updating the functionality and ease of use. The reminder system and now added telemedicine functionality really set it apart. I also like that we can text clients and if they text back it goes directly into the clinical record. Several recommendations that we have suggested, they have implemented. I can also get a human being on the phone It is available 24/7, 365 days a year.
Cons: Occasional slowness and the number of communications that can be sent cap out at about 1 per every 15 seconds. For a company of almost 300 people who send thousands of reminders per day, it can cause a significant delay. The inability to trend blood values is also disappointing. Our previous software allowed us to do it, but EzyVet can’t at this time. The reporting functionalist also leaves a lot to be desired, but they are working on improving that as well. If a particular word is mentioned in a clinical record, there isn’t an easy way to find all of the records with that word unless you take the time to tag each record. (vet, 2018) (Advice, 2006-2020)

The training process and sessions that were scheduled prior to roll out were not particularly helpful. Once the program was actually rolled out and with the help of the team members from EzyVet, it was fairly easy and quick to learn. (R, 2020)

The frequency of the error occurring however detracts from the overall happiness with the software. To be honest, to fill this part of the review in required some significant time to think of something negative to say about it, and again this may be a statement more of the employees than it is a statement about the software.
