The Holocaust and Gender

After completing the readings carefully, students should offer an informed historical perspective of the historical scholarship they have read and relate those readings to the main themes of the course. Students can answer questions such as – how do each of the authors of the readings understand the role of gender in modern Jewish history? What are their specific arguments and how do they relate to each other? What types of historical evidence do they use? Is one historian’s argument and presentation of history more convincing than another’s?
