Scenario:

You are preparing for an interview with the objective of getting some counselling practice. As part of your interview you have been asked to give a presentation about the following: how the theoretical background of person-centred counselling approaches to counselling can be demonstrated and carried out by you as part of your personal counselling style. In addition as part of your interview you have been asked to write a reflection about your feelings when you are using person centred counselling approaches in a one to one counselling setting.

Considering the ideas of Rogers, Mears and Thorne and Bozarth),

 

●        Explain the main principles that underpin person-centred theory in relation to counselling and analyse theoretical developments in PCT.

 

 

●        Apply the principles of PCT interactions and evaluate the influences of the PCT approach to the counselling interaction
