The society of Jesus called Jesuit

Who were the Jesuit missionary? They are male missionary who was focusing on spreading gospel and education to wherever they go, they were founded in 1540 by Ignatius of Loyola and his good friend Francis Xavier. Both of them went to spread gospel to different part of the world such as India, China, and the rest.

They did not go for any gain whatsoever, not for conquest but for service. They risk their lives against the government in order to help the poor, those in need. They were the pacesetter who has gone to different part of the world that nobody has exploited for the gospel of God. In 1624, it was the Jesuit missionary that visited Taibet having cross a huge mountains, valleys, and different obstacles. The Jesuit did not go their in term of physical profit or gain for selfish interest but were determined to win soul to the kingdom of God. They gain the soul of people by adding eternal qualities to their lives which is more fulfilling than silver and gold. The good things about Jesuit missionaries is that they always work with the local culture in order to pass information and for the people to see them as part of them which make communication cordial and smooth. They adapt their dressing style, learn to eat their food, Lean to speak their language. It was like the Victorian missionaries in 1900 century which is called the greatest century of missions. ( Victoria missionary of 19 century)

Jesuit missionaries in Japan? In 1549 the Jesuit went to Japan to impact their lives through the gospel. By 1601 they have trained and gotten native Japanese pastors who embraced the gospel of the Lord. The people that were born and raised in Japan committed their lives to the gospel, it was recorded that by the early 1600 century there were hundred of thousand and of committed Christian across the Japanese. But the Portuguese and the English frown at the liberation of the Japanese through the gospel because it made it difficult for the Portuguese and the English to exploit them and enslave them. The Portuguese brainwashed the Japanese government that the Jesuit are their to conquer their country and that result the Japanese to prosecute the Jesuit leaders and persecute the Japanese Christian to the extend of crucifying them.

The impact of Jesuit in South America, this great missionaries helped and encouraged many people in Latin America, they brought gospel of hope to those that are in need and stabilized their emotional trauma through their message. Some of the people are part Europeans, part Spanish and part native of America. Jesuit encouraged the Latin Americans by opening schools, universities, hospitals, and started to combined their native language with English grammars and teach them to be liberated through the gospel of the Lord. They encouraged the native language especially in Paraguay because the Jesuit also learned their language. They translated the Bible into their native language for proper understanding, the Jesuit farm with them by introducing a modern farming techniques, taught them out to sing and play different type of musical instrument. They played their native game together, taught them how to manufacture musical instruments, watches, drums and many other things. It has a lot of positive impact on the people and some leaders of the land are began to be worried because the gospel is a great eye opener to the people in bondage. Jean le Rond d’Alembert recorded that Jesuit has established a way of government among the Paraguay people, because the Jesuit did not use force but their service and gospel to convince the people which was embraced by the native of the land. The leaders of Paraguay called the work of Jesuit a triumph work of humanity.

This is a global mission class, am trying to understand the impact of Jesuit missionaries in China. They adopted the local ways of dressing and work tirelessly to spread the gospel in the country. Matteo Ricci and Michele Ruggierri in 1589 brought different languages and things to China such as astronomy, mathematics, maps, books, watch and teach them how God can change their lives to better. They did not just go their with gospel but a way to liberate them and increase their mental capacity and emotional stability through the gospel of God. They change some certain things for them by reforming the calendars, change some of their festival by not worshiping the native god but heavenly God. The gospel in the church was so successful because the Jesuit are using things that connect with their ideas to teach the gospel of the Lord. They composed different song in their native language which encouraged them to worship God in their own language, this allow the Jesuit to be successful in China. Until unfortunately 1800 century when the vertican want to take a greater control over the Jesuit and began to forbid things like worship in their languages, frustrating the native pastors.
