Culture is an important influence in people’s interactions, communication, and behavior. As such, it is an important aspect of the human sphere that should be understood as a basis of understanding the underlying behavior of an individual. Whereas culture is dynamic because it is influenced by emerging cultures due to technological developments, new information from research and religion, it nonetheless has to be unmasked. An individual’s sphere includes; spiritual element, social elements, cultural element, economic element, political element and psychological element; however, among all these elements, the basic element upon which other elements settle is the cultural element. The cultural aspect creates the uniqueness of individuals in the society. Due to cultural element, there are changes to political and economic aspects.

There are different forms of culture; they include religious culture, socio-economic culture and regional culture. In relation to regional cultures, regardless of the cultural background of individuals, an individual living in a given region such as a state or country practices the common culture that is associated with the region. Such culture arises from the need to maintain a harmonious society because the residents are culturally independent. In this case,regional culture increases the interrelationship between people. For example, whereas Jews historically have a common a culture such as observing common religious ceremonies; however, there are cultural differences among Jews living in different regions of the world. A Hebrew living in Africa will adopt a different culture from the Hebrew living in the United States of America because of the regional cultures.

In terms of religious culture, it is associated with the acts, feelings, and experiences of individuals towards what they consider divine. There are different types of religions; they include Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, and Judaism among others. Even within a given type of religion, whereas the tenets may be similar, the experiences and acts may be different. For example, within Christianity; there are different dominations that exercise different acts and have different experiences with the deity (Cohen & Hill 2007). Essentially, religion is a cultural system that has moods, motivations, symbols, clothing styles, and psychological processes. That means even within a religion, there are differences in religious practices.

In relation to socio-economic culture, people of a given social and economic status are likely to behave differently from people of other socio-economic status. The cultural differences between the different socio-economic groups help to explain the differences in language among the people of different social and economic groups.

All the forms of culture influence the values, the beliefs, and behaviors of individuals. Furthermore, there is universality of culture; whereas there are differences in culture because of the very nature of human being and the commonality of their ancestral background, there is a common culture practiced across the world. This explains why there is similarity in moral reasoning and judgment. Otherwise, there would be differences in moral judgment, which would make it difficult to make some moral decisions
