Choose one of the personality disorders that you read about this week (schizoid, avoidant, dependent, histrionic, antisocial) and develop a brief case study/example of a fictitious client that may present for counseling services. What diagnostic criteria does this client meet? Do the symptoms your client is experiencing mirror symptoms of any other personality disorders? What co-occurring disorders should a counselor potentially rule out for your client? Discuss the etiology of the personality disorder you chose (biological, genetic, neurological, environmental, etc.) and how this client potentially developed symptoms of the disorder.
