Topic: Does the evidence suggest sperm and egg donors be allowed to remain anonymous?

1. General

a) Locate sources relevant to the topic,
b) Summarize the sources
c) Evaluate their usefulness for the debate assignment
The debate project will ask you to research two sides of a controversial topic. To do this, the project has been broken down into smaller assignments.

2. Sources

• The first assignment is to find four (4) scholarly articles related to the topic that supports it.
• These should be academic sources—primary original studies. Primary sources are original research articles that are published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Web sites should not be used. Wikipedia, newspapers, or popular magazines are NOT acceptable sources.
• Sources must have been published within the last 5–10 years.

3. Details

• For each source write the full citation in APA-style
• Write 150 words describing the article.
• Each entry should include approximately one to two sentences about the aim or research question of the study and why it is important
• A sentence or two about the participants and method
• A sentence or two about the results
• A sentence or two about the discussion section of the article
• Finally, one or two sentences describing whether the article would be useful in a paper about the topic and why or why not.

o Each abstract is marked out of 6 based on the following:
• Citation in APA Style
• Academic source
• Current article (past 5-10 years)
• Summary of participants and method
• Summary of results and discussion
• Evaluation of article

o Then the overall submission is scored for: (5 marks, for a total of 29 assignment marks)
