Evidence Based Practice Project TOPIC: Diabetes Management
Below I have cut and pasted the rubric, I have also uploaded the rubric with additional informaton and my approved quantatitave article.
I have already formulated my PICO, which was approved by Dr. Mick, whose job is to do this for the hospital where I work. My PICO question is as follows…..
Among nurses administering care to diabetic patients on a medical-surgical unit, what are best practice recommendations for meal delivery in relation to insulin administration to promote patient safety with timely insulin administration and maintenance of appropriate blood glucose levels?
I will also upload the quantitative article approved by my instructor.
Here is a link that might be helpful….
https://www.diabetes.org/diabetes/treatment-care
My instructor will allow either APA 6th or 7th addition.
BELOW IS THE CUT AND PAST VERSION OF THE RUBRIC WITH LOTS OF ADDITONAL INFORMATION AT THE BOTTOM. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE VERY SPECIFIC. You will find additional information in the file I uploaded.
EBP Project – Finding the Evidence
Assignment Instructions
In this assignment, students will be asked to create the initial steps of an evidence based practice project using your faculty / coach assigned topic and the article you found in Module Two. After completing the Module Four readings, the student will create a PICO question based on their topic. A PICOT worksheet has been included for you (below) to assist you with creating a PICO question. The student will locate several additional resources to answer their PICO question, and write this information into a paper using APA style. Please click on the link: Assignment EBP Project – Finding the Evidence (below) for more information, and watch your due dates and times carefully. For additional help, use the discussion board link found below this assignment.
Be very careful not to plagiarize in this assignment. Remember, if you use a source and do not cite it, that is plagiarism. If you have a direct quote from any source and it is not clearly indicated as a quote in your paper, then even if you cite it that is plagiarism. IF SEVEN OR MORE WORDS ARE THE SAME AS ANY SOURCE THAT IS A QUOTE AND MUST BE MARKED AS SUCH. If you only change one or two words from the source but keep the order of the ideas the same as in the original, that is plagiarism. Go back to the plagiarism tutorial or ask a librarian if you have any questions. Any instances of plagiarism detected will result in your failing the course and being referred to the Office of Community Standards.
