The final assignment addresses the rest of the RFP that you began last week in 5.2 (Attached).
REMEMBER: You are not providing content for points 1-3. Rather you are mapping out and proposing a process of work with the organization to achieve these goals.
Re-read the RFP: AAUP Foundation RFP Development Worksheet (Attached)
This week you will submit:
1) A comprehensive development plan, including clear objectives and benchmarks, based on your assessment. The consultant will be expected to possess a full range of professional services, preferably with experience in higher education and with membership organizations, to support these objectives.
-How will you work with staff and the board to create a comprehensive development plan for annual and targeted campaigns, including planned giving, with specific monetary benchmarks and overall objectives for donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations?
-Develop, with the assistance of staff and the board, appropriate case statements and other fundraising resources to be used in implementing the plan’s initiatives.
2) Outline the responsibilities both of the Foundation and the consulting firm. ALL costs payable by the Foundation for these services must be clearly defined.
3) Outline a timeline of work with benchmarks and the number of hours to accomplish the Scope of Work. (This includes the work you submitted from last week, too)
4) Outline a cost of work that includes all materials, time, locations, etc., that cover the firm, i.e., what will you charge for your services? (Again, this includes your proposed work from last week, too. Charging too little makes you look less than credible and as if you don’t value your own services, and too much, you will price yourself out of the opportunity. You may want to do some brief research into how much your market averages for consulting services).
