Paragraph 1 – Explain the role of the Supreme Court in the U.S. system of government, in relation to the legislative branch and the executive branch according to your understanding.

Paragraph 2 – Craft a persuasive and supported argument for whether or not the U.S. Supreme Court is independent of politics and public opinion (i.e., whether the Supreme Court’s decision making is free from influence of politics and public opinion).

Paragraph 3 – Describe a specific Supreme Court case ruling (i.e., the Majority Opinion of the Court’s decision) AND the public or political opinion and explain how it supports your argument.
