Week 6 Assignment: Research Paragraphs

Using what you learned from last week’s library materials, research one of the following prompts:

• What is grade inflation, and why does it matter?
• Should video game loot boxes be regulated like gambling? Why or why not?
• What is one good step you can take to protect against identity theft?
• Can social media like Facebook be addictive? Why or why not?
• What is the Gospel of Thomas and why is it not in the Bible?
• What is Gerrymandering, and how does it affect elections?
• What is one step churches could take to further help the homeless?
• Why is it important that Christians memorize scripture?

Once you have thoroughly researched the topic, write an academic paragraph answering your prompt. This paragraph should follow the format from the “Academic Paragraph Structure” handout in this week’s Study materials (pay attention to the 5 bullet points at the end of page 2). Your paragraph should also be 150-250 words long and utilize at least 2 credible academic sources (your Works Cited entries do not count towards this word count).
