2. After watching, use one ethical approach to justify this drug investigation as ethical. For example, if you see the investigation as ethical according to duty ethics then you will explain what principles apply to the case, how the duty follows the principle of universility etc. Draw connections between the case and how it reflects the theory.
Next, use a different ethical approach to explain how this investigation could be considered unethical according its theory. For example, you could use caring ethics to explain what two extreme virtues should be applied to the investigation and how the investigation does NOT achieve the golden mean.
Be sure to speak to each question under the ethical approach to demonstrate your understanding of the theory. It is not enough, for instance, to say “the investigation was ethical because the officers were following their duty.” You have not made specific connection’s to the principles of Kant’s theory. Review the PowerPoints and your notes for assistance.
Your response should be two paragraphs (one justifying the investigation as ethical and the other condemning the investigation as unethical) between 7-10 sentences.
