Chasing Heroine

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, 46% of current inmates are incarcerated for non-violent drug offenses; a considerable amount of these cases stem from the abuse of opiates, including oxytocin and heroine. The Frontline Documentary, entitled, “Chasing Heroine” dissects the many layers associated with the crisis. After watching the film, you will need to research this topic on a deeper level to examine the various roles of institutions and systems that have shaped this man-made epidemic.
