By utilizing the sociological imagination, I aim to delve deeper into the complex interactions and structural factors that contribute to this issue.

  Possible Explanations

  Employing the sociological imagination, I believe that income inequality arises from a confluence of various factors. Firstly, economic systems and policies can perpetuate disparities by favoring the wealthy and exacerbating the wealth gap (The Sociological and Geographical Imaginations on JSTOR, n.d.-b). Additionally, social class, race, and gender play significant roles in determining one’s access to quality education, employment opportunities, and social mobility.
