In our earlier discussion, we learned about the ten different types of love which can be with couples, animals, children, animals or even community. Under data analysis, we will be discussing and analyzing different aspects of love using data collected from a love survey cutting across both gender male and female. Introduction to Data Analysis

Analysis of the Research Findings
From the data findings, it’s evident that the respondents practiced one or more form of love. A majority of the respondents (66%) stated they love animals a great deal. This figure was even above the enduring love for another person (58%), love for a friend (58%), intimate love (56%) and child love (42%). Studies recommend that the level of human empathy and love is unrelated to species but instead it has to do with the perceived vulnerability and helplessness. Further, ordinary love we feel for animals can be compared to the love we feel and express to our children. We impetuously love and care for animals and desire to support and help them because we perceive them to be incapable to help themselves easily. However, our discernments of adult individuals is that they are in a position to speak up and defend their freedoms or rather defend themselves from any danger. This is not the case for animals and children who are totally at the mercies of others for food, shelter and protection. Further, both animals and children demonstrate an innocence that we as human feel compelled to safeguard against internal and external threats (Gardner, 2020).
Sex and intimacy are believed to strengthen the bond between two intimate people and it enhances love, affection and closeness. 60% of the respondents stated that sex differentiates the type of love they have with their friends versus their lovers and 40% thought otherwise. 56% of the respondents stated they are very likely to experience intimate love. Friendship love and intimate love sometimes it’s challenging to define. For philia, Aristotle or friendship as a virtue is most important with a perception of living. In the case of love for friends, they (friends) must possess the goodwill to one another and wish good things and fortunes to each other. Intimate love and friendship might be similar and figuring out whether someone has intimate love with you or treats you just a friend may be challenging. An intimate love that began as a great friendship is likely to transition to an intimate relationship, however, if you have been in friendship status for a long time, it may be challenging to transition into intimate love (Ben-Zeev, 2012).
Comparisons between different forms of love are easy when one form of love scarcely exists and such comparison may be challenging when profound love exists in both types. In such instances of profound love, the differences between two forms of love are more evident and any form of comparison may lack meaning. If we look at the parental love versus intimate love, parental love is irrespective the number of kids a parent can love simultaneously and it’s greater than the number of people a person can love intimately all at once. Even though the emotional connection is often deeper in parental love than in intimate love, this might not be the case always. Further, these are different forms of love some of the features of which are not analogous (Ben-Zeev, 2012).
